How to get a Certificate of Competence For Operators of Pleasure Craft

You can skipper a rented or your own vessel that is up to 24 meters or has a capacity of less than 12 passengers with a Certificate of Competence For Operators of Pleasure Craft.

Conditions of Operators of Pleasure Craft Competence

Article 5- Those who apply to become an operator of pleasure craft:

a) to be at least 14 years old (the consent of the parents of those under 18 years of age is needed),

b) to be at least a primary school  graduate,

c) Not being convicted of child abduction and / or trafficking in criminal records;

d) To certify that it has the health conditions specified in Article 24 of this Regulation,

e) To be entitled to receive amateur maritime certificate provided that the amateur sailor’s exam is stipulated by the administration.

Required documents

1. passport photo.
2. Copy of Driver’s License.
3. For those that don’t own a driver’s licence, a Health Report to be taken from public / private health institutions
4. A receipt of document’s fee.A copy of the ID card.
5. Consent of parents / guardians for those under the age of 18 years.Application will be made personally.
