Hamam Bay and Kapı Bay are actually two bays right next to each other. That’s why Kapı Bay is known by the name of Hamam Bay, which is mostly remembered by people. While passing from Hamam Bay to Kapı Bay, there is an incredibly beautiful but limited coastline where pine trees embrace the rocks and the sea, where you will anchor and land from the stern.
Since the bay forms a small valley in the area where the south and west hills are combined, the winds from the open sea come to the bay as showers here. Since you are next to the floating pier in the bay, it is necessary to pay attention to docking and lifting maneuvers only in sudden showers to avoid insecurity during the accommodation. Of course, the beautiful side of these breezes is that you can not be overwhelmed in the summer heat and relax with the cool breeze during your stay in the bay. Another berthing alternative is the concrete pier at the end of the beach in the bay. By anchoring here, you can approach from the stern to the land. Based on my own experience, up to 54 feet can be approached without any draft problems. Since the storms we mentioned will ride on your stern ropes, it is useful to double if your ropes are thin or not in good condition.
There is a restaurant called Adaia in the bay, which has a pier also and we can say that it is perhaps one of the best quality restaurants in the region. After getting off your boat, you will be greeted by the half-open restaurant, which can be closed when desired, as you proceed along the beach. But before you taste the amazing food of this place, my humble advice is to taste the special cocktails that will chill you in summer at the island-shaped bar at the end of the restaurant, the roof of which is covered with straw. Of course, ahead of the bar, you can take a walk on the beach, which is surrounded by banana trees on one side and the clear blue waters of Göcek on the other.
From time to time, you can witness live music in the expanding part of the concrete pier and at night, you can watch the sparkling fires inside the cast irons.
Briefly, Kapı Bay is the reflection of heaven on earth with its closeness to Hamam Bay, safe accommodation, clean sea, non-oppressive air and verdant forests. You can stay here for days without getting bored.
